This AHA ACLS Instructor Course in Honolulu is for experienced healthcare professionals who want to teach Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support classes through the American Heart Association instructor network. This course may be appropriate for nurses, physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, emergency department staff, ICU providers, critical care clinicians and other advanced healthcare professionals who regularly use ACLS knowledge and skills.

ACLS Instructor candidates should have strong ACLS provider knowledge, current ACLS skills, confidence with rhythm recognition, pharmacology, cardiac arrest algorithms, stroke response, acute coronary syndromes and high-performance team dynamics. ACLS builds on BLS skills and emphasizes continuous, high-quality CPR, team communication and advanced cardiovascular emergency care.

Before registering, candidates should confirm they meet all AHA and Training Center requirements. AHA Instructor candidates typically need a current AHA provider card in the discipline they want to teach, Training Center approval, completion of required instructor materials, and successful completion of the instructor course and monitoring process.
