Course Overview

The PALS course is designed to improve outcomes for  pediatric patients by providing pediatric healthcare workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively recognize and intervene in respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest.

The course is aimed at professionals who must be credentialed as a requirement for employment or practice.  

This course covers these topics

  • Pediatric emergencies
  • Concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment
  • PALS treatment algorithms
  • Effective resuscitation team dynamics

This course is intended for

  • Current PALS Providers
  • Must not be expired
Pre-Course Work and Assessment must be completed prior to class. It is an AHA requirement to have the current provider manual for Pre-Course Work, in class and post class. Please select a book as an add-on if you do not own a current copy.

Common CPR Courses in Hawaii

BLS Certification: For healthcare providers, nursing students, dental teams, clinical staff and first responders.

BLS Renewal: For current BLS providers who need to renew before expiration.

BLS Skills Session: For students who already completed HeartCode BLS online.

Heartsaver CPR AED: For workplace CPR, AED and general public CPR training.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED: For CPR, AED and first aid requirements.

ACLS: For advanced healthcare providers who manage cardiac, stroke and cardiopulmonary emergencies.

PALS: For healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving infants and children.

 

Choose the Right CPR Class in Honolulu

Choose BLS Certification or BLS Renewal if you need professional-level CPR for a healthcare job, school program, clinical rotation or licensing requirement. If you completed HeartCode online, choose the correct BLS Skills, ACLS Skills or PALS Skills session. For workplace, childcare, coaching, fitness, hospitality, construction, school or general safety training, choose Heartsaver CPR AED or Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED. For advanced healthcare, emergency care, critical care, pediatrics or hospital requirements, choose ACLS or PALS.
