The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED course is designed for individuals with little or no medical training who need a course completion card for job, regulatory, or personal reasons. It teaches participants how to recognize and respond to common first aid emergencies, medical and injury situations, environmental emergencies, and how to perform CPR and use an AED for adults; optional modules include child and infant CPR. The course also addresses opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies and strategies to prevent illness and injury. Upon successful completion, students receive a two-year Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card.
It is a requirement of the AHA to have the latest edition of the Heartsaver workbook for preliminary study and as a valuable resource during and after class. You may obtain the e-book or hardcopy manual upon checkout.
